First, focus on trying to get engagement from the followers you already have. Facebook will show your posts to more people once someone likes or comments on the post. Try to regularly post content that invites people to engage in the comments section.
Second, you'll also still want to pursue more likes and followers:
- Target faculty, staff, and alumni. Mention your Facebook page in targeted emails and marketing materials.
- You can like and follow other libraries, bookstores and other such organizations and they will likely like and follow you back. However, consider what the goal of your Facebook page is. Your target audience is probably not these people. However, the more people who engage with your content will encourage Facebook to show it to more people. So you should aim for a healthy balance here.

Facebook has plenty of data for you on their Page Insights. One really helpful data point you'll be able to see is how many people actually see your posts.
