Group 1: Springshare newsletters

This group perused some of the latest Springshare newsletters and discussed. (Ruth Szpunar, leader)

Notes:

In the newsletters, we found several things that we didn't know LibGuides could do.

1. Floating boxes.
Floating boxes display boxes without borders, padding, or box titles.

You can see floating boxes in action on the Photos tab of this guide. There are 4 boxes on that tab, all are floating boxes. They are also located all over this guide.

2. Adding Icons to Page Titles

You can now add Font-Awesome Icons to your Page Titles.

You can see these in action on each tab of this guide!

For more information about these first two features, see this Springshare newsletter:

https://buzz.springshare.com/springynews/news-34/tips

3. Guide thumbnails

You can now create a thumbnail image of your guide that will show up whenever you promote the guide.

4. System screenshots
You can also create a thumbnail image of your LibGuides system to show up whenever you promote your guides.

For more information about these next two features, see this Springshare newsletter:
