ACRL Library Benchmark

Overview for PALNI librarians of the ACRL Library Benchmark platform

About Benchmark Reports

Reports are created ad hoc and report data can be exported. There is currently no function for saving reports or templates.

Available customizations:

  • Carnegie Classification
  • Country, State/Province
  • Survey Year (default: Most Recent. Recommend to use actual Year from drop-down menu to filter out past survey questions and Trends questions)
  • Peer Group Name
  • Category, Subcategory (includes Trends questions)
  • Question Name (long numeric-alpha list that includes current and past survey questions as well as Trends questions. Refer to the current survey format for question line numbers to create an accurate data set.)

Custom report design includes survey responses only. The report builder does not include calculated metrics and ratios like we used to have in Counting Opinions. Some metrics and ratios are available from the Survey Metrics Dashboards; others will need to be calculated in Excel after a data export.

Creating a Report

Begin by selecting desired report filters to design your report.

The report will generate. Note that reports with multiple questions and/or survey years and large peer groups may take a while to generate. All reports have only four columns: Institution, Survey Year, Question Name, Value.
